  More Evidence for the Sceptics?
« on: April 26, 2009, 01:45:19 AM » by Autumn
I believed in reincarnation long before any of my family members or friends.  Or I believed that it was one intriguing possibility.  That was a long time ago when I was quite young and before the topic became almost passe.  I did past life regression work and have some interesting "memories" that made much sense in light of my present life.  Over the years, I read about various evidences and hints about reincarnation; but I also realized that there are other possible causes that could create those same effects.  My belief system became less adamant.  Recently, I read the reviews for an apparently excellent book that claims to have some pretty convincing evidence that reincarnation of our distinct individuality does - at least sometimes - reincarnate.  So, I've ordered the book The Soul Genome: Science and Reincarnation and I will report back here when I've read it.  If anyone else has read it, please comment about whether you found the evidence convincing or not.  If you haven't read it, but you've read, experienced, or know about other good material on the topic of reincarnation, or you just wish to share your thoughts, please join in the conversation.

Hi Autumn, I haven't read the book, but it sounds very interesting. My first intro to metaphysics was a book from Hans Holzer called Born Again. I read it when I was 12 years old and I'm looking at it right now on my shelf. As an adult, I got to meet him and have it signed. I just learned today that he passed away. He was a great influence on the topic and he had a scientific approach to everything. I don't think science has paid the attention to these topics nearly enough. I guess they don't pay the big money but inquiring minds want to know!  Cheesy Do let us know how the book is. Like I said in another post, time is speeding up for me. I have to settle for the reviews now!
