14/02/2001 (Morning)

from Melchedes by Marian Suchecki

Each day differs from another. Each day has its own particular quality which affects man without him knowing why. It has to be so in order to manifest different aspects of creative powers in nature. Some mornings seem "heavier" than others; some mornings man feels brighter and full of energy, other mornings see him lethargic and heavy in body and mind. Some days he feels happy, other days he is depressed and lacks energy. Man reflects the moods of nature because of his involvement in the physical world around him. Since he identifies himself with his body, which, in reality is his instrument, he has to experience its various moods. Bright, sunny day will make him happy, the dull rainy or windy day will "dampen his spirit" as man expresses his feelings.

Little does he know that all these changes take place outside of himself only, not within him. The Spirit of man never changes; it is never affected by the worldly conditions its instrument is subjected to. It watches the body reacting to different conditions in which it finds itself without interfering, that way allowing it the freedom to express its attitudes and reactions to the world it lives in. Only the part of man which belongs to this world will be affected by its moods, the Self of man stands aside and watches, knowing that it is unaffected and it is of a different "world".

It is very difficult for man to connect to the Self for a long period of time. He may do so when he is very still and mindful, but these moments are rare. The demands of this world he lives in are numerous and require his constant attention. But again, this is why he is here, to find out its demands and to react to them in his own way.

Each man thinks differently, has different body, different desires, different attitude towards himself and others and needs different experiences of his choice. Each man feeds on different impressions; his body feeds on different foods, his mind reflects different interests and skills. Each man contributes something unique to the physical world, the mental world and the spiritual world. That is why humanity lives in an abundance of the creative skills man contributes to the whole. This world is so "alive" because man inhabits it; it changes its qualities because man was given the freedom to shape it the way he wishes it to be; he makes it "alive" by his presence. His creative powers may add to its glory, or destroy it by his greed and negligence.

These are godly powers not available to any other creatures man shares this world with. The manner in which man uses his godly gifts affects not only him, but also the whole of the earth and its inhabitants. That is why dualities are allowed on this earth only, they are allowed in order for man to exercise his freedom of choices. It is this freedom of choices that shape man’s future, it shapes his character, his attitudes, his preferences and different qualities expressed through his choices. This freedom dictates the choice of the world he lives in; it shares his beliefs and deities he has created for himself.

There is ONE Creator only, but man has given Him the qualities of his choice, the name of his choice, and placed him somewhere in "heaven" of his choice. That God of man is always somewhere in a nebulous sphere, unavailable and mysterious, at times merciful, at other times cruel when man faces the tribulations of this world. He is praised by one man and cursed by another according to his mood of the day, according to the amount of pleasure or suffering man’s body experiences through wrong choices. It is a merciful and loving God created in man’s mind today, or a revengeful and cruel God not willing to fulfill man’s wishes in another day.

It is not an easy world to live in, not because the Creator made it so. It is not an easy world because man has made it so for himself. His choices create "hell" or " heaven" for him to experience, both are not real, they exist in man’s mind only. His mind is endowed with creative powers and, if the Light of reason does not illuminate these powers, they create what man deserves. The problem man faces is that he is not willing to take responsibility for the choices allowed him. He considers this world and everything it offers as his own and takes from it what he wants, not what he needs, that way creates imbalance in nature and breaks the Law regulating the freedom of all the creatures he lives among. The Law does not allow abuse, because it is just and sees to the needs of all. If man deprives others of their needs, the Law exercises its functions and man has to suffer its consequences.

That is why man was given reason, it allows him to recognize the Law of this world. But that reason has to be enlightened by the Being within him, the godly Spirit who gave the light of reason to be used, not ignored.

The more often man connects to the stillness of his Light within, the more strength is available for him to face this world, the wiser his choices will be and happier his day will be, because it was illuminated by the Light within. The same Light which gives powers for this world to manifest and be experienced by man. All is within man, if he only believed it. His Light is within him, because he is a part of the Whole and the Whole embraces not only man, this world and other worlds, but the whole Cosmos, because it all emanates from the Divine "Mind".
